Man Eats Face in Miami

This past week in Miami, sixty five year old Ronald Poppo was attacked by thirty one year old Rudy Eugene. The majority of Poppo's face was chewed off by Eugene. This happened on Saturday May ninth on the ramp off of Miami's MacAruthur Causeway. Currently, Poppo is located in the Jackson Memorial Hospital and is in critical condition. Witness' reported to the newspaper, “The guy was, like, tearing him to pieces with his mouth, so I told him 'Get off!' said Larry Vega. “The guy just kept eating the other guy away, like, ripping his skin.” When the police officer came, he told Eugene to back off but Eugene raised his head “with pieces of flesh in his mouth” and then growled at the officer and continued to eat the man. When the officer fired the first shot, Eugene did not flinch, and kept eating Poppo, after that the officer kept shooting at Eugene until he was dead. It is believed that Eugene might have been “suffering from a drug-induced psychosis” which is also called “bath salts”. Until further notifications, Poppo will still remain in critical condition in the hospital.
